pease porridge & pea soup

blend:

2 c  dried split pea flour
1/2 c buckwheat flour
1/2 c oat bran flour
1/2 c nonfat dry milk powder
1/2 c maca flour

porridge:

1 c boiling distilled water
1/3 - 1/2 c mix, depending on desired thickness

blend high speed

pea soup:

add to porridge in vitamix:
1 chopped carrot
1 chopped onion
herbs & spices to your taste, e.g.:
turmeric, fresh ground black pepper,
garlic, basil, oregano, fennel, sage,
caraway seeds, dill seeds, fennel seeds,
curry powder, etc
1 Tbsp chia seeds
1 Tbsp pumpkin seeds
1 Tbsp sunflower seeds
1/4 c chopped nuts
1/4 c lemon juice

chop speed 3-4 ( not puree )

to each of 2 2c pyrex bowls, add:
1/3 c frozen peas
1/2 chopped veggie/porridge mix

mix well

store, covered, in refrigerator

to serve:

remove cover;
microwave high 2-3 min per serving

yields 2 servings
