health confection the idea is to make a confection which contains ingredients reputed to provide various health benefits, including antioxidants, fiber, reducing cholesterol, triglycerides, blood sugar, etc. ingredients: nut flours holy basil dried apricots prunes raisins cacao nibs noncereal flour sweet curry powder red maca flour ground nigella seeds butchers broom extract rx: 1/2 c almound flour 1/2 c hazelnut flour 1/2 c pistachio flour 1/2 c walnut flour 1 c ( 48 g ) holy basil powder 1/4 c cacao nibs 1/4 c noncereal flour 1/4 c sweet curry powder 1/4 c maca flour 1/8 c ground nigella seeds 1 Tbsp butchers broom extract 1/2 c raisins 16 dried apricots, quartered 16 pitted prunes, quartered pulse chop dry ingredients in ninja large ( 6+ c ) container; add dried fruit; blend until finely chopped damp meal texture; dump and scrape into cuisinart bowl; blend in cuisinart until lump forms; line 6"x8" pyrex dish with parchment paper; dump and scrape mix into the the dish; compress with vitamix tamper & a spatula; place another sheet of paper on top; insert another matching pyrex dish on top; compress the top dish down ( i do a handstand on it ); microwave the assembly for 1 minute on high; compress again; remove top dish; remove the paper "sandwich" from the bottom dish; remove the top sheet of paper and pull down the bottom sheet sides; with spatula, scrape off oil from paper and spread on top of confection, and smooth over any sharp corners and edges; replace top sheet of paper; place a platter upside down on top; invert assembly; remove now top sheet of paper and repeat scraping and smoothing operations; replace paper; store assembly in refrigerator for several hours until firm; remove from refrigerator and place on cutting board; remove paper; cut into 16 pieces ( 4x4 ) by pressing down with a sharp, broad knife; place pieces into covered container and store in refrigerator each piece should contain, by construction: 1/2 oz nuts 1 prune 1 dried apricot a few raisins approx 1 Tbsp ( 3g ) holy basil approx 3/4 tsp maca approx 1/4 tsp ea of cinnamon, ginger, nigella approx 1/8 tsp ea of chili & clove approx 1/4 tsp butchers broom extract
